The Summit Youth Academy runs from Sunday, July 10 - 16, 2022, at Southwestern College, and includes opportunities to reconnect throughout the year.

We're looking for rising junior and senior high school students from a 350-mile radius of Southwestern College to attend the Summit 2022. There are two methods to start the admission process:

  1. Students may apply on their own by clicking the "Apply Now" button below. We will then work with your church to recruit a supporting adult to serve as your Nominator.
  2. Clergy, youth workers, & church members may nominate a youth by clicking the "Nominate a Student" button below.  We will contact the student and share all the information they need to apply.

Nominations and applications are due by June 24, 2022.

What does it cost, and what do I pay?

You pay: $400 ($300 if you attend a Great Plains UMC church thanks to their generous scholarship)
This covers your week in residence - food, lodging, supplies, and an incredible experience! Your end can come from fundraising or your own pocket. Email Wendy to learn more about fundraising opportunities.

Your church pays: $200
Because we believe churches should invest in their young people, both figuratively and literally. Your church can submit payment online or via check for this portion of the costs.

We pay: $300
We've got your back!  We've received some grants that enable us to cover part of the program cost.

Final payments are due on June 30th.  We'll send you a link to make your payment after you are admitted to the Summit.

Students are responsible for all of their transportation to and from the Summit. We encourage parents to come for the opening drum circle and commissioning prayer and to attend breakfast and closing worship on Saturday morning. We love meeting your parents!
